There is a difference between a friend and a mate. Pete was a mate. We met at Louth Golf Club some years ago and played golf for a few years. Pete wasn't too bad really. Because we had the same sense of humour and values about things we also had drinks and curry nights some times along with Andy Sayers and Andy Platt, two other golfers. They could get a bit messy but we enjoyed ourselves. Pete will be greatly missed by me and his pals. One of the good guys in life.
